book covers for GS3
the idea is to choose your favorite book as a child, favorite book as an adult
and redo the covers... as it applies to your life
my favorite book as a child was ferdinand, a story about a bull that just didnt fit in.
original
new and improved. i still dont know how i feel about the title. too much contrast.
oh and ignore the crop marks. i exported it all goofy from indesign
and favorite adult book... me talk pretty one day. reflects the world as i see it, hidden in sarcasm i guess

original
my version. i really love this one. typeface is growing on me....
once again, ignore the white border, ignore the crops haha
once again, ignore the white border, ignore the crops haha

i like this first one. the box is still visable around the bull tho....do you kno that? i dont mean the crop marks, i mean the image that you placed has a different background color than the white page layout of indesign....crop it out save the image as a PSD from photoshop, then it will just be the image of the bull with no box around him.
as for the second, i like the font as well. big fan of those thin san serifs. but i guess i dont know enough about the book to tell you if the image works or not. and have you tried placing the title in different corners? top right and top left might look neat?? idk
thats all for now i guess.
ohhhhh nooooooo
love it
i dig both covers jess! i love the simplicity of the first cover aaaand i do enjoy the font / placement of the second (lovelove david sedaris)
BUT
the first cover no longer looks like a children's book, and Me Talk Pretty One Day is about a really sarcastic bitter man / as much as i love the photo, i'm not sure i understand the connection to the actual story.
BUT
that's just my opinion! otherwise i think these are great!
wait! i take back my comment. i just realized you said that the point of the exercise was to redo the cover as it applies to YOUR life. NEVERMIND! I'm a retard.
i think they are both great :)
hahaha i just peed a little laughing at your comments aiball.... SO SILLY!
and its funny because that was my initial reaction yet i keep reminding myself of the dumb project requirements.
these are the projects i will go to put in my portfolio but cant because they require so much explanation! RAWR!!!!!
